The Iona College Campus Quad

Want to Serve on the Alumni Board?

Ed Mann PhotoDear Fellow Iona Alumni,

I would like to invite you to connect or reconnect with your college friends through Iona College Alumni Association activities and events. Whether you just graduated or graduated a few years back, it is always a great time to get reacquainted with Iona and your classmates. If you wish to get involved on campus again, I suggest you contribute to the success of the Alumni Board through Board membership.  You can submit your own name or that of an alumnus who would serve their fellow alumni and our alma mater with distinction for election to the Iona College Alumni Association.

Why serve, you ask? Because the Alumni Board represents you and is responsible for all activities of the Iona College Alumni Association, and alumni body, which currently has a membership exceeding 45,000.

What are the duties of Alumni Board members? They include attendance at Board meetings (in person or via conference call) approximately four times per year, participation in Committee work and contribution to the financial well-being of Iona with your personal mean.

What is the Board’s composition and its committee structure? There are 30 elected Board members inclusive of four officer positions. Fifteen Board positions and all officer positions are elected every two years. The committee structure includes ICON (Iona College for Outreach and Networking), Research Committee (Alumni Recognition), Committee on the Board, and Regional Chapters/Affinity Groups. If you are interested in nominating yourself to serve or know of a worthy candidate, please submit your nomination form.

Take this opportunity to reconnect, get together to enjoy each other’s company, and, yes, contribute to the continued success of Iona College.

Sincerely,

Edward T. Mann
