When is Alumni & Family Weekend?
Reunion, Homecoming, Parents and Family Weekend will be included in Alumni & Family Weekend. Alumni & Family Weekend will take place Friday, October 13 through Saturday, October 15, 2022!
How do I register for Alumni & Family Weekend activities?
Families that are visiting their current students for the weekend are not required to sign up for activities unless registration for certain events is stated as required on the schedule. All participants in Alumni and Family Weekend should stop at the Alumni and Family Weekend Welcome Center upon arrival on campus to receive updated schedules, coupons, and giveaways!

Will I receive a reply after I register online?
Yes. An email reply is sent after registering online for complimentary and paid events. Please stop by the Welcome Center in the Atrium of the LaPenta School of Business on Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. or Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. to pick up an updated schedule of events.
Where can I stay? What hotels are in the area?
Alumni and friends as well as family members of current students visiting the area for Alumni and Family Weekend are encouraged to stay in one of the nearby hotel facilities in the area. A list of area hotels can be found here.
For the safety and security of our residential students, standard University housing access, overnight visitor, and guest policies are in effect throughout Alumni and Family Weekend.
Are spouses/families or guests welcome at Alumni and Family Weekend Activities?
You are welcome and encouraged to bring a spouse and/or your family or guests to Alumni & Family Weekend.
Iona University encourages all members of the family to join in celebrating Alumni & Family weekend. There will be events for current students and their family members of all ages and plenty of celebrations.
Where can I park?
There is ample parking on campus. A campus map is available for download here. On Saturday, please use the garage in the back of campus.
All Alumni & Family Weekend activities located on campus are easily accessible by walking and campus transportation will be available as needed.
Will the Bookstore be open?
The Iona University bookstore will be open throughout Alumni & Family Weekend. The campus store is located on the first floor of the Lapenta Student Union.
Alumni and Family Weekend campus store hours are:
Friday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., and Sunday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
There will also be a table at the Food Truck Festival and a special coupon for those who check in at the Alumni and Family Weekend Welcome Center!
Are family members of current students allowed to enter the Residence Halls?
For the safety and security of our residential students, standard University housing access, overnight visitor, and guest policies are in effect throughout Alumni and Family Weekend.
Family members of current students are allowed to enter with their current student and check in at the front desk of the Residence Hall.
Will there be child friendly activities throughout the weekend?
There will be a sing along for kids, a fall carnival and pumpkin patch, alongside and a food truck festival.
