Brendan T. Droge '05

At Iona, Brendan majored in math with a minor in finance. During his four years in New Rochelle, he was the managing and sports editor of the Ionian, the president and a captain of the rugby team, and a member of the Gaelic Society. In addition, he served as a tutor in the Scope Program.

After graduating from Iona, Brendan journeyed to China where he taught English for the summer through the Maryknoll Program. Upon his return to the U.S., he began his professional career working in higher education at Molloy College. At Molloy, Brendan worked as a senior admissions counselor while obtaining an MBA in Business Management and an MS in Criminal Justice. He was also an adjunct professor in the Math and Business Departments, and the head coach of the men's and women's rugby teams.
 
In 2012, Brendan left Molloy for another venture abroad. This time to London, where he worked in client services within Deutsche Bank’s Global Markets Division. He held that role for more than three years across London, New York and India, before joining the cross rates desk as a salesperson covering institutional accounts including insurance companies, GSEs, asset managers and hedge funds.
 
In his spare time, he is an avid marathoner and triathlete and most recently completed the 2016 Lake Placid Ironman. Brendan grew to love the bagpipes during his time at Iona and has been a member of the Tara Pipes and Drums (Massapequa, N.Y.) since 2008.
