The Iona College Campus Quad

Mark A. Andrews '98, '00MS

Mark Andrews is very proud of his Iona experience and relationship that continues today. The education he received, the opportunities that were available, the fun that he had, and the lifelong alumni friends and acquaintances that he now has, were all made possible by Iona. Living on campus and serving as a resident assistant, and residence director as a graduate assistant, created a lot of memories and life lessons. Most importantly, he is grateful for the support and presence of the Christian Brothers which began in his high school days at Bishop Kearney in Rochester, N.Y.

Mark’s undergraduate degree in journalism and graduate studies in public relations provided a foundation for his development career, spanning 17 years in fundraising and alumni relations. He truly enjoys working with people and is honored to have previously served the Archdiocese of New York and the Academy of Mount St. Ursula, and currently as the director of Alumni Relations at St. John’s University.

He has enjoyed coming back to campus over the years for reunions and now as a season-ticket holder for Gaels basketball. Above all else, Iona brought him to the Greater New York metro area where he met and married his wonderful wife, Laura.
