The Iona College Campus Quad

Angela Pearson '90, '96MBA

Angela Pearson’s Iona College education played an integral part of who she is today. As a daughter of Italian immigrants, it was important to Angela to continue her education. Striving toward a successful career and seeing her parents’ dream come true of having their children prosper from more opportunities than they had in Italy, were her goals from an early age.

At Iona, Angela was awarded a full scholarship and studied communication arts with a concentration in advertising and a minor in English. During her undergraduate experience, she enjoyed volunteering for the Special Olympics and being a member of the Advertising & Italian Clubs. Several years later, Angela decided to further her education, returning for an MBA in Marketing. She has also enjoyed coming back to Iona for the mentoring evening. In 2015, Angela was honored to be a recipient of the Brother Loftus award.

After graduating, Angela started working in the footwear industry and is currently vice president of demand planning at Caleres. She was an active member of the Leadership Council at Nine West from 2006-2009. Angela’s a member of the National Association for Female Executives, and at her current job she serves on various committees such as Supplier Relationship Management and Women’s Mentoring for people in the shoe industry (WIFI). One common theme for Angela in all that she does and all that she is, is gratitude.

Witnessing the expansion going on at Iona College, Angela is reminded of how proud she is of there she started, and is interested in finding small ways to give back to her alma mater.
