The Iona College Campus Quad

Get Involved

Below, please find various ways alumni can get involved at Iona College.  We hope you will join one of our Committees and help us as we "Learn Outside the Lines."  To get involved, please contact the Office of Alumni Engagement at or (914) 633-2390.

Research & Awards (Internal Affairs & Research)

Study alumni population trends through alumni surveys to help determine the programs and events that alumni would like the Alumni Association to sponsor. Monitor alumni services provided by peer and aspirant institutions. Nominate potential recipients for Alumni Awards which are then approved on a candidate-by-candidate basis by a simple majority vote of the full Board.

Alumni Regional and Affinity Chapters

Establish links with regional chapters; promote active involvement among affiliated groups. Develop and disseminate "best practices” to increase participation in and organization of geographic and affinity alumni chapters. Review chapter activities and recommend improvement.

ICON (Iona Community for Outreach and Networking)

Assist in the recruitment and retention of Iona students and the enhancement of their student life and experiences. Develop programs to allow alumni to more easily network for career assistance, mentoring, job referral, etc.

Engage current Iona College students in discussions on topics such as career and industry trends; tips for obtaining internships and entry level opportunities, professional skills and etiquette expected by employers, and how flexibility can equal opportunity. If you are interested in mentoring, please email

Maroon & GOLD Council

The Maroon & GOLD Council (M&G) is a leadership organization dedicated to fostering and sustaining relationships with graduates of the last decade to keep them engaged and actively involved with the College. The Mission of the Maroon & GOLD Council is to foster relationships with young alumni that lead to lifetime involvement with the College. The M&G Council aims to be a resource for Iona alumni in their first decade after graduation while simultaneously working to strengthen the connection between the Iona student experience and the alumni community. This is achieved by creating a robust, dynamic organization that identifies and addresses the needs of young graduates and provides educational, philanthropic, social and networking opportunities that help meet these needs.
