Rosemary Cordasco is currently the CFO and an owner of New Crystal Restoration Enterprises, Inc. (NCR), a family-owned company that has been in business for over 60 years. Throughout her tenure, she has worked with her team to reinvent the business by establishing the first green restoration company in Westchester County. This initiative has changed the trajectory of the business, leading to increased financial growth as well as expanding the company’s customer base. Rosemary spearheaded the process to attain certification with New York State and New York City as a Minority and Woman Owned Business. New Crystal was recently recognized as one of the recipients of the 2020 Family Owned Business Awards for Westchester and Fairfield Counties. She is proud to be a part of a business that has been in her family for three generations and that has served the Westchester County area, holding to the testament of treating customers with care and respect. Without the team work of family members - Lisa Cordasco, Lou Cordasco and Nancy Cordasco Walsh (all Iona alumni), our business would not be where it is today.
Rosemary began her accounting career at KPMG after graduating from Iona with a BBA in accounting. After leaving public accounting she moved into the private sector and worked at Verizon Communications and Philip Morris Capital Corporation. Her education at Iona College provided her with the foundation necessary to have a successful career in accounting and also afforded her the opportunity to obtain her first job out of college at a top-tier public accounting firm. She is grateful for not only the academic experience she had while attending Iona, but also for the long lasting relationships that occurred as a result. She met her husband as a sophomore at Iona and they have been married for over 30 years.
As part of the Christian-based education she received at Iona, giving back has always been an important part of her life. In 2005, she co-founded The Children’s Hope Chest, a non-profit that supports local children and families in need, which has grown exponentially since then. New Crystal Restoration also supports local charities that are near and dear to our hearts – Clary Garden (Autism), Fore the Kids, Parkinson Foundation and Support Connection.
