FOR DISTINGUISHED SERVICE TO THE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Johnine graduated from Iona in 1984, with a degree in Political Science, prior to receiving her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.

While at Iona, Johnine was President of the History and Political Science Club, Arts and Features Editor of the Ionian, Member of the Tara Knights Honor Society, Cheerleader, and was the first Iona Rotary Scholarship awardee, which allowed her to study International Law, for a year, at the University of Melbourne, Australia.

Johnine has been actively involved in the establishment of the Iona Mid-Atlantic Alumni Chapter. She has been a member of Reunion Weekend Committees, The President’s Club, and is excited that she has been asked to participate in President Carey’s Gaels Go Further Mentoring Program.

Always sharing how proud she is to be a member of the Iona Community, Johnine continues to help recruit prospective students from the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Northern Virginia (“DMV”).
